The ECCAC property rights workshop was attended by almost 90 landowners impacted by the Sunrise Powerlink. They were presented with an overview of the project, an update of the legal filings, and information about their rights concerning eminent domain procedures. The current ECCAC Newsletter has detailed information that was given during the workshop and is [...] A free legal workshop is being held in June to help property owners who are in the path of San Diego Gas & Electric’s eminent domain efforts to secure private land for the Sunrise Powerlink. The 500kv transmission line, which would significantly impact many east county communities, has not received final approval from [...] On Saturday, ECCAC held a fundraiser at the Hazy Meadows Ranch in Lakeside. The venue included live music, food, an opportunity drawing and silent auction, and a Stop Sunrise Powerlink information booth. The event was a great success, with over 300 people in attendance, and over $15,000 in donations collected!
