We have contributed to the POC legal effort to stop the SRPL, but get very little feedback. Today, SDGE started lowering equipment to install towers SE of Star Valley Road. They now are getting into Cleveland National Forest. What gives? What is happening in the courts? Can you give us any feedback? How about a news article for the Alpine SUN?

Right now everyone at POC is holding our collective breath waiting for the Ninth Circuit to rule on our emergency motion for injunction. They have put our appeal on high priority and have promised to rule by August 31.

We are in El Monte Valley and have been wondering the same as Tom Myers. The helicopter activity in the valley over the past few weeks has intensified as SDGE ferries men and equipment back and forth incessently all day, and last night until dark. Are they pushing forward as fast as possible because of the imminent ruling?

Rose, Yes they are certainly moving full steam ahead until a court tells them they can’t. We are still waiting for our Ninth Circuit ruling, and we will let you and all our supporters know as soon as we hear anything. Thanks for keeping us up to date. I’ve asked if there are any regulations regarding work hours on different parts of the project.
