Good News!Today the County Board of Supervisors voted 4-0 in favor of a resolution to draft a letter to the California Public Utilities Commission opposing SDG&E’s Shut Off Plan. Their voice adds to the many already opposed, including water districts, school districts, telecommunication companies, disabled advocates, the Division of Ratepayer Advocates, and thousands of people from across San Diego County. The administrative law judge is expected to make a ruling in July, and a decision is expected from the CPUC before this fall’s fire season begins. …and more work to do…Please read!We expect Cleveland National Forest Supervisor William Metz to make a decision in the near future about either approving the Sunrise Powerlink Southern Route on Forest land, or requiring further environmental studies and public hearings. It is very important that he hears from as many of us who oppose the SRPL as possible. If you have not already done so, please write to him at the following addresses: E-mail: wmetz@fs.fed.us and/or William Metz Comments are closed. |
